Oil waste

ntrs can collect your used oil, along with allied workshop services (parts washers, oily rags, filters and coolants etc.), as well as other hydrocarbon wastes like oily water, oily sludge and grease.

ntrs is committed to raising the industry standard, providing true used oil recycling services in order to reduce the reliance on burning oil as the only disposal option for used oil.  This commitment has lead ntrs to develop a specialised oil collection fleet and facilities. We are proud to be working in partnership with Southern Oil Refineries to provide a true ‘lube to lube’ recycling solution ntrs offers oil collection as part of its total waste management solutions, including:

  • Oil collection as part of a package service one-stop shop
  • Oil collection on a fixed frequency (to manage our clients on site capacity)
  • True oil recycling, not burnt for energy

Used Oil Re-Refineries

Southern Oil has recently increased its re-refining capacity with the 2014 opening of the new “Northern Oil Refinery” (NOR) in Gladstone.  Together with the original Southern Oil Refinery in Wagga Wagga, the facilities now have a combined capability to re-refine over 130 million litres of waste lube oil per year.

Re-refining removes all contaminants and worn additives from used oil to yield high quality base oil products, which are sold to manufacturers as the raw ingredient for production of new lubricating oils.  98% of the carbon associated with the original lube oil is preserved in our process making it the most greenhouse gas friendly process for used oil.
